Finnish Association for Interdisciplinary Cooperation ry, 3640037-2

Ideas Across Fields.
People Across Communities.

A Finnish nonprofit association creating room for participation, shared inquiry and practical cooperation across different experiences and areas of knowledge.

Why FinIDC

Complex questions rarely belong to one field—or one part of society.

FinIDC brings practical civic activity and thoughtful inquiry into the same organisation. Our work ranges from local participation and volunteering to interdisciplinary dialogue on technology, migration, belief and social change.

Fields of work

Different questions.
A shared responsibility.

Our programme grows through activities, partnerships and research-oriented dialogue. These six fields provide its initial direction.

01

Community participation

Welcoming formats that make it easier to take part in Finnish civic and community life.

02

Voluntary action

Practical, public-interest activities shaped by local needs and the people who join them.

03

AI and society

Open discussion about how emerging technology changes work, institutions and everyday life.

04

Migration and belonging

Experiences, research and dialogue concerning mobility, integration and participation.

05

Religion and society

Careful inquiry into belief, identity, public life and communities in transition.

06

Interdisciplinary research

Questions and collaborations that gain strength from more than one field of knowledge.
